I understand that I am being given surf instruction by an experienced surfer and instructor. I attest that I am able to swim and keep my head above water. I understand that the ocean can be unpredictable and possibly hazardous. To avoid any kind of injury, I will do the best I can to listen to and follow all safety precautions instructed to me. In consideration of my holding any surf class with Carla Rowland, “The Surf Institute” and/or any instructor working under “The Surf Institute” as approved by Carla Rowland, I intend to be legally bound, hereby, for myself, my heirs, my next of kin, executors and administrators, waive, release, forever discharge, hold harmless, and agree to not sue Carla Rowland, her heirs, her next of kin, executors and administrators or any employees of Carla Rowland, for any injury or damage whatsoever, arising from my participation in surf instruction with Carla Rowland. I also understand that any type of injury or damage will, with great effort, try to be avoided by my surf instructor (Carla Rowland), as well as myself. I will do the best I can to safely and smartly enjoy the adventurous sport of surfing.
