I’d say yes, to an extent. When doing turns, it’s important to not have too much weight in the front foot because that will cause the rail to dig and not allow the board to flow smoothly across the ocean surface. You don’t want to be locked into thinking that the hip is in one place. You must be agile and free flowing with your movements… much like a dancer flows from one move to the next.
